- Story: I have a master's degree in exercise physiology from the University of Michigan and am a competitive cyclist. I am a huge fan of MMA and recognize fighters as incredible athletes. The mix of skill, power and cardio required to excel in this sport amazes me as one who studies the science of exercise. Since becoming a fan of the sport, I left my 12-year long career in the pharma/biotech industry to start AdapTx Labs - a company that develops nutraceuticals specifically for fighters (www.adaptxlabs.com).
